With over 12 years of digital marketing experience, Topaz Booysen is the driving force behind Nextra – blending strategic insight, creativity, and innovation to deliver high-impact marketing solutions.
Her career spans global agency leadership, corporate consulting, and pioneering research in AI-driven marketing. Some of her career highlights include:
- Former Account Director at Publicis, the world’s largest communications group, where she led high-profile campaigns and identified gaps in corporate marketing services.
- A Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) member, ensuring Nextra stays at the forefront of global marketing trends.
- Board member of VCI, an international consulting firm, providing strategic marketing insights to publicly listed companies across Australasia and beyond.
- Led an AI vs. Human Designers Experiment in 2023—an industry-first which will be published by the AMS World Marketing Congress in 2025.
- Holds an MBA (cum laude) from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business, where she served as class president and competed in the John Molson Case Competition, proudly making it to the semi-finals as part of Africa’s only competing team.
A self-made marketer with an insatiable drive for learning, Gabrielle Norman is passionate about the power of authentic digital engagement.
With nearly four years of experience in social media and content creation, she helps brands build communities, drive loyalty, and create meaningful conversations in the digital space.
Her journey is fuelled by a commitment to continuous learning:
- Currently pursuing a Diploma in Digital Marketing at Rosebank College.
